Ripping and running. Bippin from east to west. Having more moments than I expected that led to one more. I found a way to visit Byrd at his studio. I got a tour and saw many possibilities for myself and other creatives. Byrd was building a basketball goal. The directions weren’t so clear and it took some finesse, but it came together. Tevin was working on an ad for a course he would go on to release. I found my way into the flow of things helping with the projects to the best of my ability. A very fun memory. We finished the ad and the free flow of the day made space for this very dope conversation. We explored our upbringing, how we approach having a personal life as a creative, and the motivations behind our work. Overall I am grateful for this conversation and all the work that Tevin is doing in the industry. We have many parallels in our approach. I look forward to all that he will create and have a hand in creating in the years to come.
If you are looking for a studio, “The Birdhouse” is a great place to start.
